To provide angler education and support for fisheries conservation with a focus on NE Ohio
Cleveland Anglers is an independent 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to angler education and fisheries conservation focused in the NE Ohio region. We obtain funding through membership dues, cash donations, the sales of donated equipment, and profits from a variety of programs and events.
Cleveland Anglers evolved from the Trout Club of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. For nearly 50 years, the Trout Club was a leading organization in coldwater education and supported a wide range of coldwater-focused conservation programs.
Cleveland Anglers continues this work, but has expanded to include education and fishery-related conservation projects for all components, both coldwater and warmwater focused, in NE Ohio and beyond. Although our primary area of focus remains fly fishing, Cleveland Anglers welcomes everyone to become part of our organization. Together we can present a strong, united front with a mutual interest in benefitting all anglers in the region.
